Is it possible to calculate the shortest path between two points? have you imported data from openstreet map or other sources?

I love this article on good to know math for Hex problems

Thanks Jonas! That one is a very nice primer on hex grids, if you have ever tried to make an indie mobile game (with a hex grid) or similar, this one is invaluable!

How do you react to the regular fluctuations in demand?

What functionality are you missing most that you would like to have built-in in Snowflake?

Hi Team - How about providing data solution on Private cloud using snowflake?
Nils Randau
01:04:31
does Snowflake also support networking functions, e.g. shortest path between different nodes (e.g. stations) on a grid (e.g. railroad grid)?
Rick Radewagen

What stack do you use to ingest the IoT data? How often do you refresh data in Snowflake?
Jonas Rundberg

Thanks for great presentation and questions! I need to drop off. Bye!

@Rick Radewagen, regarding IoT data: the IoT telemetry data is available to us from our backend systems through Pub/Sub. We use Google Dataflow (Apache Beam) to micro-batch them into partitioned files on Google Cloud Storage, and we have a Google Cloud Function listening to new files and ingesting them as they arrive. Could be done with Snowpipe, but we do extra logic not written in SQL and thus use our own Cloud Function to listen to new files.

Hi - can i get the recording of this session on my registered email ?
Rick Radewagen
01:14:42
Thank you Fernando! Sounds like a sophisticated setup.

I have the same question as Girijesh. I have some colleaugues who really should see this! If not the recording, perhaps the slides at least?
Fernando Brito
01:20:05
Jan and Sara: do you also use dbt? Since dbt generates a documentation catalog as well, I wonder if stakeholders would be confused with having 2 data docs (one from dbt and one from great expectations). Do you have anything to share on that topic?
Anna Kähler
01:21:41
Hey Girijesh and Nils - Yes! we will provide all with the recording after to the registered email.

@Jan @Sara, What exactly is underneath Great Expectation-Validation..is it some python library/dbt test suit or something else
Ricky Berba
01:28:40
This is cool. Are you using a specific airflow distribution or can just add it as a library on the latest airflow distribution..

How would you write a more complex test which should test more than just the schema or simple counts

Can you send the sample DAG too ?

Hi Team - How about providing data solution on Private cloud using snowflake? I read on snowflake site and it says that it only support public cloud so how we will address the customer who are looking for data solution on private cloud due to various securtities , compliance reasons.
